Your ticket to an exciting career

We’re creating a workplace of the future where we can all be supported to achieve incredible things. Where those who are on the first step of their career path are empowered to lay foundations for a successful future.

We recruit Apprentices and Trainees across the organisation – in roles in our Customer Service, Housing and Maintenance teams.

How do Apprenticeships work?

Depending on the qualification you’re working towards, your apprenticeship could last anywhere between 1 and 4 years.

In that time, you’ll get bags of on-the- job learning, practical experience, training opportunities and support to develop your skills while you earn.

You'll get a recognised formal qualification, ranging from Level 2 to Level 7 - which is equivalent to a University Degree.

Some apprenticeships may require a minimum of GCSE qualification, but you don’t need any experience in your chosen field. You just need to bring an enthusiasm for learning and drive for achieving great things.

How do Trainee roles work?

If you’re looking for a change or want to turn relevant work and life experience into a career, our Trainee programme is the place for you.

You’ll be with us for 2 years and get a personalised plan for learning that’s made up of practical experience, internal and formal training opportunities, and support to develop.

Interview process

Whichever area you wish to join We’ll invite you to an open day where you’ll have the opportunity to meet our managers and some of previous Apprentices and Trainees. This is your chance to find out more, ask questions and get a feel for what it’s like to work at Sovereign.

You’ll then be invited for a 1 to 1 interview with a some of the managers.

We’re offering 40 placements through the kickstart job scheme – these roles are open to anyone aged 16-24 currently receiving Universal Credit.
