Measuring what matters

Our approach to Social Impact includes using the Wellbeing Calculator from the Housing Associations Charitable Trust (HACT) Opens in new window to provide a value in pounds for changes to an individual’s wellbeing, such as from unemployment into work or from homelessness into housing.

Working with our suppliers can also lead to significant social value in our communities and we know that our work enables meaningful change for our customers and communities.

We’re maximising our opportunities to extend our reach and impact through making sure that we get meaningful social value commitments though our procurement activity with suppliers. We listen to the needs of our communities and trusted partners and use this knowledge to look for additional resources, such as apprenticeships and training, volunteering time and goods and services.

All of the work we do in Communities directly feeds into reporting for ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) and supports us to illustrate our social impact as a business, further securing our future and ability to do more.
