£30k funding available to support community projects

Charities and community groups are invited to apply for a share of £30k funding.

Sovereign Housing Association, working with not-for-profit digital fundraising platform The Good Exchange, has grants available for community projects that focus on health, wellbeing, education, social inclusion, sustainability, community cohesion, environmental issues and community spaces.

Projects within a 20 mile-radius of Newbury Marketplace, which includes Abingdon, Andover, Basingstoke, Marlborough, Thatcham, Tidworth, Reading and Wokingham, can apply.

Applications are open until 31 July 2022 and can be submitted through Sovereign’s page on The Good Exchange https://app.thegoodexchange.com/funders/10874/sovereign-housing-association

Rachel Peters, Community Development Officer at Sovereign, said: “We’re really excited to have this new fund open with The Good Exchange. It’s always wonderful to see the difference these grants can make, so if you have a community group or project you think could benefit, then please do apply!”

Julian May, Head of Collaborative Funding at Greenham Trust, which owns and manages The Good Exchange, said: “We are delighted to be working in partnership with Sovereign again to help support their local communities and source other grants from funders and donations from local companies and the public.

“The Good Exchange is now completely free to use with no fees at all, meaning that all fundraising organisations keep 100% of all of the grants and donations made to their applications via the platform. All fundraising organisations will also be able to benefit from Gift Aid on public donations as Greenham Trust will be making the Gift Aid claim on their behalf.”
