Stamping out anti-social behaviour with our new localities model

Anti-social behaviour (ASB) has no place in our communities. We want the people who live in our homes to feel safe and thrive.

Across Sovereign, we’ve been changing how we work, thinking differently and increasing investment so our customers can be even prouder of where they live.

One of the benefits of our new locality model is our ability to have dedicated teams carry out more proactive work to prevent ASB from developing.

And it’s proven very effective in North Hampshire and Surrey where those on the ground have thought really hard about the preventive measures and solutions we can use to combat ASB. Neighbourhood inspections, fly tipping clearance and stepping up our presence in the community is making a real difference.

So for ASB Awareness Week we’re celebrating the success our team had at one housing for older people scheme in Basingstoke. By cutting back and removing overgrown hedges, we’ve been able to increase visibility and remove the opportunity for people to engage in ASB in hidden places.

It’s made our residents feel safer, proud of where they live and is proof that our new localities model is rightly delivering for customers.
