Sovereign appoints Tom Titherington as New Executive Director for development

Sovereign Housing Association has appointed Tom Titherington as its new Executive Director, Development & Commercial.
Tom brings a wealth of housing experience in delivering new homes, partnership working and creating sustainable places.
Most recently Tom was Executive Director of Property and Growth at Catalyst Housing and before that he spent two years as Chief Executive of the Network Housing Group, building on thirteen years as Executive Director of Business Development at The Hyde Group.
In each of his previous organisations, Tom was responsible for the strategic leadership for growth, covering the number of homes developed and owned, the geography and the range of services provided. He is known for his ability to build partnerships with both the public and private sector to enable large-scale developments.
Tom will start work at Sovereign on 21 January 2019, with Dale Meredith continuing his role as interim director until the end of January 2019 to enable an effective handover.
Mark Washer, Chief Executive of Sovereign, said: “While our development programme has continued to grow under the experienced and capable leadership of Dale Meredith, I’m excited that Tom will be joining our team to take forward our ambitious plans.

Speaking about his appointment, Tom said: “Sovereign has a great track record of delivering quality homes and is ready to step up again and become an even bigger player – taking control of large sites, being inventive around modular technology and building more of the homes we need. I’m looking forward to joining this ambitious forward-thinking organisation and helping the team create more great places to live and work.”
