Getting online
Having access to the internet and email can make a big difference if you’re looking for work or working from home, have kids who need to do homework, or just want to shop online or keep in touch with the family.
We can help you to get online – and learn the digital skills you need: from 1-2-1 help if you’re a beginner to free resources you can use at your own pace if you’re already online but want to learn some new skills.
If you’re struggling to afford the IT equipment or broadband access, we also have grants that you may be able to access.
Our money and digital service
A range of free, confidential support and services that we can connect you to about getting online and using the internet, debt advice, budgeting, heating your home and mental health and wellbeing.
Money and digital grants for residents
Two grants for Sovereign residents, available via referral: one for help if you need digital equipment to get online, another if you can’t afford white goods (like a fridge freezer).
Learn my way - digital skills training
An online training website, free to access if you’re looking to improve your digital skills. Options range from getting started with a computer to Microsoft Office courses, all at your own pace.
Finding affordable broadband
This page tells you about some affordable broadband providers, as well as deals for those on benefits or with a poor credit score – helping you to get online for less.
