Women's Work Lab

We’ve partnered with Women’s Work Lab (WWL) to offer mums living in our homes and the wider community in Bristol, South Gloucestershire, Bath, Bridgwater, Weston Super Mare and Taunton the opportunity to apply for a free employability course.

The 12 week WWL programme is open to mums aged 19+, receiving state benefits, who are looking to find meaningful work.

The school hours programme involves part-time classroom-based training and work placements.

  • Bespoke 121 career coaching
  • Sessions with external partners such as Google & Smartworks
  • Practical career support - CV writing/interview technique/job searching
  • A work placement - example employers include Wessex Water, University of Bristol & Bath, North Bristol NHS Trust, and the Citizens Advice Bureau.

WWL focuses on building confidence, looking in depth at strengths, values, and personality preferences.

They then ask you to consider what your future could look like, how you are going to get there and what you need to do to make it happen.

If one of these programmes is of interest to you, please email employmentandskills@sovereign.org.uk or call 0300 5000 926 for more information.
