Meet the members of the Resident and Board Partnership (RBP)

The Resident and Board Partnership is made up of eleven residents who are volunteers and meet around six times a year to help influence our strategy, policies and service standards, as well as to monitor the quality and performance of our services. 


Linda Morrison-Allsopp

Linda Morrison-Allsopp

Linda joined the RBP in May 2019 to give something back to Sovereign and influence its future. She’s particularly passionate about affordable homes being available for older people.

Francesca Best

Francesca Best

Francesca began volunteering for the RBP in April 2017. She believes it’s right that everyone has housing that’s affordable for whatever stage in life they’re at.

Ian Capon

Ian Capon

Ian’s been volunteering in social housing for nearly 30 years. He joined the RBP in April 2017 to help influence policies for residents. He’s also involved in the Nelson Road Play Park community group on the Isle of Wight. 

Judith Colby

Judith Colby

Judith joined the RBP in April 2017. She wants to make sure residents have a voice and is proud to have input into Sovereign’s policies and procedures. She wants to reduce the stigma around social housing tenants.

 

Patricia Heslop

Patricia Heslop

Patricia joined the RBP in April 2017. She’s helped influence business decisions from a resident’s perspective and is passionate about eliminating stigma around social housing.

Andy Johnson

Andy started volunteering for Sovereign eight years ago and joined the RBP in April 2017. He believes it’s vitally important to have housing available for everyone, especially young people. He feels Sovereign has the capacity to serve the community well.

Peter Lucas

Peter Lucas

Peter started volunteering for Sovereign (then Twynham Housing) in 1998. He’s been involved with us ever since and joined the RBP in November 2017. He wants to see more affordable housing built and is also a member of the Christchurch in Action community group.

Dave Munnik

Dave Munnik

Dave started volunteering with Sovereign in 2015 and joined the RBP in August 2017. He wants to make a difference and ensure residents’ voices are heard. He’d like to see affordable rents reduced to social rents and is also involved in the Christchurch in Action community group.

Joyce Ward

Joyce Ward (Chair)

Joyce joined the RBP in April 2017. She enjoys being involved in shaping Sovereign’s direction and speaking on behalf of residents at conferences and the national Tenant Advisory Panel. She cares passionately about providing decent homes for all.

Nick Williams

Nick Williams

Nick’s experience of going from corporate solicitor to street homeless has helped shape his view of what social housing can offer. He joined the RBP in November 2018 and is proud to have ongoing involvement with tenant engagement experts Tpas and the Social Housing Green Paper.
