Join our Resident and Board Partnership Group

We’re looking for residents to join our Resident and Board Partnership group. You’ll be part of an enthusiastic and dedicated group of residents, who help influence our strategy, policies and service standards, as well as monitoring the quality and performance of our services.

Why take on the role?

You’ll play an integral part in shaping the future of our business and the services we provide our residents - including you.

Whilst the role is voluntary, you’ll receive training and support and have your travel costs covered.

When the group meets

The Resident and Board Partnership meets for a few hours about six times a year. The meetings are normally held at our Woodlands office in Newbury.

Although this is a voluntary position, you’ll get training and support (including IT equipment if it’s needed) and out-of-pocket expenses.

Is this something you’d like to do?

You don’t need any formal qualifications to get involved – we’re just looking for someone who:

  • takes an interest in the needs of all of our residents, who come from many different backgrounds, so that their voices are heard in discussions
  • can give the Board an insight into the impact of its decisions on residents
  • can look at and understand the cause of problems, see different ways they can be dealt with and what the long-term effects might be
  • wants to work with our employees and other residents to make sure our services are effective
  • can help with developing recommendations, and share responsibility for them
  • can talk with others, promote us and bring back examples of how a service is being done well elsewhere
  • is passionate and committed to our social purpose, inspiring and motivating others.

If you think you’d like to become part our Resident and Board Partnership group, all you need to do is register your interest 30 April 2018. We’ll then be in touch to discuss what happens next.
