Community grants for residents

As part of our Thriving Communities strategy, we’re delighted to offer two community grants for residents to access resources and support that lets them meet their goals.

Our community grants can be applied for through our external partner Charis, a small, specialist organisation with considerable experience in providing grants.

Wellbeing funding

What is the funding for?

Small non-constituted groups wanting to do things like installing benches, window boxes outside flats and improving outdoor spaces.

How much is the funding for?

Up to £200

Who can apply?

Any residents living in a Sovereign home who are part of a group that doesn’t have a constitution, ie. a chair, treasurer, secretary etc (known as a non-constituted group).

How do people apply?

Directly through Charis 

Wellbeing grants for over 55s

What is the funding for?
It could be used for lots of different things that improve people’s wellbeing, such as buying a Zoom license to keep digitally connected, fitness classes, yoga, fitness ball, running clubs, giving up smoking and wellbeing apps.

How much is the grant for?
Up to £75

Who can apply?
Any residents that live in a Sovereign home who are aged 55 or over.

How do people apply?
Directly through Charis
