We work very closely with a large number of local councils and specialist organisations. They refer future residents to us. If you need a home it is best to register with your local council as early as possible. We will always give priority to people who:
If you are referred to us we will let you know about homes we have available that are suited to your needs. A member of staff will talk to you and help you complete an application form before an offer can be made. To get your name on a local council list, contact the housing department of your local council. We do not discriminate against anyone who applies for housing. Housing in West BerkshireSovereign, West Berkshire Council and a number of other housing associations in West Berkshire operate a shared register for people applying for housing.This means that anyone applying for housing in West Berkshire will only need to fill in one application form which they can get from us, the council or any of the other housing associations involved. We have a leaflet that should answer any questions you have about the Common Housing Register in West Berkshire. For an application form, please contact us or West Berkshire Council. Housing in other areasWe do not operate a waiting list in any local authority area except West Berkshire. We let properties in other areas to people nominated by their local authority so, if you live outside West Berkshire, you must contact your local council about your housing needs. |
