The majority of services we provide to our residents relate to management and maintenance of their homes and caretaking. However, as a social landlord, we go beyond this level of service to help create sustainable tenancies.
Creating sustainable tenancies and offering tenancy support is about making sure that our services go beyond the basic management and maintenance services by meeting the support needs of residents as individuals and their communities as a whole; making sure that the tenancy is maintained in the long-term.
By offering the right support, a resident can maintain rental payments to us in the long-term as well as keep to the rules of the tenancy agreement. We work very hard to understand residents’ individual circumstances and have put steps in place to support and help all of our residents manage their tenancy. These steps include:
By creating sustainable tenancies, we can help our residents avoid having to leave their home through eviction or abandonment.
Before and during the time a resident signs-up to a tenancy, we will talk to them about their personal circumstances. If we think they might need help sustaining their tenancy, we will ensure they get the appropriate assistance from us or from another agency to do so.
