High service standards
Sovereign’s property services teams are constantly working to improve our residents’ homes, and in-turn, their quality of life by ensuring that the highest possible standards are met across all of our service areas.
Impressively, our high standard approach means that 98.6% of Sovereign’s 33,000 homes meet and exceed the Decent Homes Standard, well ahead of the government's 2010 deadline.

Local delivery
Our growing business enables us to move to more local service delivery, meaning better services, more effective local partnerships and greater efficiency. As new members have joined us we have undertaken stock transfers to ensure that our residents receive the best, most local services and support.
In addition to the delivery of vital day-to-day repairs, through service partners and our direct labour operations, we are always looking to the future and forward planning. We want to make sure that we are continuously improving our stock investment, to make sure it will always meet the increasing needs and expectations of our residents.
Cost efficiency
In April 2009 Sovereign South+West started providing maintenance, repair and delivery services to Sovereign Twynham, taking over from the previous contractor. The team offers improved services at no additional cost, and as most of the operatives were employed by the previous contractor, we have retained their knowledge of our residents and properties, and ensured a seamless transition to the new service.
Satisfied residents
All of our works programmes are delivered according to the priorities set out following intensive resident consultation; listening to residents’ needs and opinions is essential in our aim to exceed expectations across all of our property service areas.
Our resident feedback shows that our works programmes have been highly successful in delivering improvement expectations across kitchens, bathrooms and general living conditions. Our recent STATUS survey revealed that 84% of residents are satisfied with the overall quality of their homes.
