Moving or transferring home

There are a number of options available to our existing residents who wish to move from their current home to another property owned by us, or another council or housing association. 

Residents can apply directly to their local authority, can apply for a transfer with us, or look at the options available under the mutual exchange programme.

Mutual exchange

Mutual exchange allows residents of any housing association or local authority to swap homes  It is usually the quickest way to move home. Residents can either advertise their property directly, or use a national exchange register, such as HomeSwapper, a free service to our residents. It gives residents local and national options, has powerful searching options, generates thousands of potential swaps and can be tailored to residents’ needs with alerts by text and e-mail.
