Sovereign South + West realises the importance of helping people to find suitable employment during the current difficult financial climate. Sovereign has launched several new initiatives in the past few months, the most recent being a new campaign with Social Enterprise Berkshire to provide young people with the suitable motivation to find their own way in the business world.
An important part of this new project is to give people access to all the information and support they need to try their own projects. Sovereign is helping by launching the enterprise challenge where people between 18 and 25 will have the chase to attend different workshops to learn more about how to effectively develop their ideas and maybe even go on to start their own business. There will be the chance of one to one support from specialised advisers.
These workshops have already taken place during November and December at the Greenham Community Centre. They have been well attended and have been led by Gez Bentley of Sovereign, who has a wealth of experience of helping to find employment for young people. He noted, “So far we have had a very positive response to this new initiative. I feel it is very important to help young people in West Berkshire to be able generate new employment opportunities and we will be providing support every step of the way.”
If you want more information on any of these new initiatives, please contact Gez Bentley, Employment & Training Links Co-ordinator for Sovereign South + West, on 0117 3170708.
