Kingfisher Housing Association
On Wednesday 1 July north Hampshire’s largest housing association, Kingfisher, will be amalgamating with its sister housing provider, HVHS Housing Group, to form a new social landlord to be known as Kingfisher HVHS Housing Association.
Currently operating throughout the whole of Hampshire, with offices in Basingstoke and Winchester, the newly formed Kingfisher HVHS Housing Association (KHV) will continue to provide quality services to its 7,000 residents, but now with even more efficiency and sharing of knowledge and skills. Residents can be assured that they will continue to receive their services from the same staff and will see no real change, except in the name of their landlord.
Carol Williams, Managing Director of the newly formed Kingfisher HVHS Housing Association, commented about these exciting new changes. “Uniting Kingfisher and HVHS will enable us to be a stronger association benefiting residents, neighbourhoods and communities with increased investment at a local level.”
Also on 1 July the newly combined Kingfisher HVHS will join Sovereign Housing Group as its fourth partner member, alongside Sovereign, Twynham, and The Vale Housing Associations.
With the addition of Kingfisher HVHS, the enlarged Sovereign Group will now encompass more than 30,000 homes across the south and west of England, making it one of the country’s largest housing groups.
Carol Williams, Managing Director for Kingfisher HVHS, went on to comment, “We have already seen benefits from joining the Sovereign Development Consortium in April, and I am convinced that we will see even more as members of The Sovereign Housing Group.”
