  • West Berkshire Neighbourhood Wardens win Sovereign team of the year awardThe West Berkshire Neighbourhood Wardens, supported by Sovereign Housing Association, which patrols Tilehurst, Holybrook, Purley on Thames and Theale, recently won Sovereign Housing Group's prestigious team of the year award. This follows on from the team's Senior Neighbourhood Warden Allan McIntyre winning Sovereign Housing Groups employee of the quarter award earlier in the year. 29 January 2010

Since then The Vale has had a long-standing commitment to not only the environment, but also to building environmentally friendly homes. 29 January 2010
  • Sovereign residents gives thumbs up to their new homes in East WichelThe first Sovereign residents have recently moved into the first phase of rented homes in East Wichel. The East Wichel phase is the first part of the Wichelstowe development to be completed and will help to form the new Wichelstowe community. 29 January 2010
  • Neighbourhood improvement eventsSovereign Housing Association is running a series of neighbourhood improvement events in Portishead, Newbury, Exeter and Plymouth this summer to give residents the chance to meet Property Services, Resident Involvement and Housing teams. Residents will also have the chance to get repairs carried out in their homes, enjoy a local BBQ with neighbours and have an ideal opportunity to get rid of any unwanted household items. 29 January 2010
  • Kingfisher and HVHS Housing Associations to amalgamateOn Wednesday 1 July north Hampshires largest housing association, Kingfisher, will be amalgamating with its sister housing provider, HVHS Housing Group, to form a new social landlord to be known as Kingfisher HVHS Housing Association. 29 January 2010
  • Keys Court development will honour former mayorThe Vale Housing Association will be opening its first non sheltered social housing scheme for the over 55s at a new development in Keys Court, School Lane, in Banbury on 30 June. The scheme, built by McCarthy & Stone, cost £2.1 million and includes 21 one-bedroom and nine two-bedroom homes, including a mix of rented and shared ownership properties. Cherwell District Council also contributed a £225,000 grant to help fund the scheme. 29 January 2010
  • Beechfield developmentSovereign Housing Association has been working hard with Torbay Council over the last 12 months to make sure that the public and local residents are involved every step of the way with the new Beechfield development. This will be located close to The Willows, near to Barton Primary School, and will include 112 new flats and 32 houses. 29 January 2010
  • Sovereign Housing Group and WessexAs of 1 July Sovereign Housing Group and Wessex Housing Partnership are joining together to form an enlarged group, which will retain the Sovereign name. At the same time, Wessex Housing Partnerships main subsidiaries Kingfisher HA and HVHS Housing Group will also unite to form Kingfisher HVHS Housing Association. Kingfisher HVHS will be Sovereigns fourth partner member, alongside Sovereign, Twynham and The Vale Housing Associations. 29 January 2010
