It has never been more important to allow residents to be able to directly influence the service that they are receiving from their housing associations. Sovereign South+West has always prided itself on working closely with residents to help influence, shape and improve services by offering a wide range of involvement opportunities.

Sovereign launched a new resident involvement strategy a few months ago to allow residents to shape their future. This strategy allowed all residents to have their say in the way in which Sovereign deliver services and ensure Sovereign is providing the services that residents want. Sovereign’s new resident involvement was also based around listening and responding to residents and helping deliver an excellent standard of service.

Sovereign residents have been impressed by the new innovative and adaptable approach of Sovereign. John McCleary, an involved resident, noted, “To be able to participate and have a voice and offer my views is incredibly rewarding not only for myself but for the benefits of other residents. The chance to work with Sovereign and understand the organisation is a must for everyone as the resident will be able to shape the future of the policies and procedures which will benefit everyone involved in Sovereign and social housing.  I recommend that every tenant becomes involved no matter how small as it involves their future.”

Aasia Nisar, Resident Involvement Manager for of Sovereign South+West, noted, “Sovereign South+West’s new resident involvement strategy has proved to be a big hit with residents. It was geared towards letting residents have direct input into how we deliver services to them and ensuring residents are able to shape the housing we provide for them.”
