Sovereign South+West is committed to working with local partners to provide residents of all ages with the best accommodation to meet their needs. As part of this Sovereign, in partnership with West Berkshire Council, is looking to provide more suitable accommodation for the over 55s at Platt Court and The Priory at Hungerford.
Sovereign is proposing to redevelop the existing site and replace it with a mix of Over 55s and extra care apartments. The new development will also offer spacious and high quality apartments which will encourage existing residents to give up larger family homes which can be used to ease pressure on local council waiting lists.
Sovereign is holding a public consultation event for the new plans at Hungerford on 10 June at the Sovereign Fairfields development from 2 -7 pm. There will be representatives from Sovereign and West Berkshire Council there to answer any questions and there will be feedback forms provided as well.
David Ingram, Estates Development Director for Sovereign, noted, “Sovereign is committed to offering improved services in the Hungerford area. This new development at Platt Court and The Priory will offer spacious homes that will meet the aspirations of residents both now and in the future. We are also offering flexibility and choice by offering a choice of over 55s and extra care units.”
