Sovereign Kingfisher is focused on listening to residents and providing a service suited to their individual needs. To help achieve this, Sovereign Kingfisher residents and employees have recently been working together to carry out peer reviews, which examine the different services that residents receive. So far the reviews have looked at gas servicing and adaptations, lettings and resident involvement.
As part of the peer review process Sovereign Kingfisher has encouraged resident inspectors to take part in a detailed two day training course to help them learn different interview techniques. Becky Evans, a Sovereign Kingfisher resident from New Milton in Dorset, was one of the first people to go on one of these courses. She was very keen to learn new skills and find out more about her landlord and the different services that they provide to residents.
Becky enjoyed the training and has since used her new skills to help her find a new full time job in New Milton as a lettings agent. She said, “The main reason I got my new job was thanks to the peer reviews. Because my new role focuses a lot on gas servicing, my experience of taking part in the gas servicing peer review gave me the knowledge I needed to get the job, which is excellent!”
She continued, “I have taken part in two peer reviews now and I can see how important they are to Sovereign. Bringing in residents to help review services offers a totally different perspective and really does make a difference. The recommendations we made have been taken seriously and we have really influenced the business. “
