Madley Park
  
Madley Park is a development on the outskirts of Witney, providing over 1000 new homes along with a primary school, shops and other local facilities. The Madley Park partnership, made up of West Oxfordshire District Council, Sovereign Housing Group and Leadbitter Construction is successfully delivering the affordable homes for rent and shared ownership over three phases. We started phase one in November 2002 to provide 41 homes including four bungalows, eight flats and 29 houses. Nine are for shared ownership and 32 rented. We are just completing phase two which includes 35 homes for rent and 24 shared ownership. Phase three will provide another 41 homes and should be completed in January 2006. All the homes have been designed using innovations and energy efficiency measures. All have been built to Eco-homes specification and include features such as passive stack ventilation and low energy lighting. Many of the properties are timber frame and all have achieved the 'Secure by Design' award. Some are also 'lifetime homes' meaning they have been designed to accommodate future adaptations and expansion to allow it to be a home for life. |
