Lifetime homes
Many of our properties are built to 'Lifetime Homes' standards. Lifetime Homes have 16 design features that make sure a house or flat is flexible enough to meet the changing needs of most households. The aim is to build homes which can be adapted to a family's circumstances: from parents having to deal with a pushchair and heavy shopping, to a family member with a serious illness. The 16 features include level access to the front door; halls and doors which are wide enough for a wheelchair; low window sills; and bathrooms planned to give side access to the bath and toilet. |
