Current schemes

We invest in key priority areas for affordable housing and our development portfolio is diverse. We build in both rural and urban settings, from a development consisting of a few properties to urban schemes on a much larger scale. We assess local needs, often in consultation with the community, and ensure that our developments meet those needs. Typically, we aim to offer choice by providing a mix of various apartments and houses so that there is affordable housing to meet a cross-section of needs.

Planned schemes

We have a reputation for building quality homes to help create mixed and balanced communities. This is critical to our corporate plan and continued growth and to being recognised as a developer of sustainable affordable homes. Our development strategy reflects the capacity and aspirations of our member housing associations.

We base our development strategy on three key development objectives that link to our corporate objectives:

• Increase the programme quality and diversity.

• Continue to be a sustainable commercial business.

• Be the innovative partner of choice for local authorities, the Homes and Communities Agency, and private developers.
  
  

To increase the quality and diversity of our housing stock, we will take action – for instance, buying land, regenerating properties, and entering joint ventures – to deliver affordable homes to the highest environmental standards.
