We have grown significantly in the last few years, through both development and mergers. As more organisations have become part of Sovereign, the number of employees has trebled.
Sovereign South+West
Sovereign South+West, previously known as Sovereign Housing Association, was established in 1989 when it was given 7,109 homes in a large-scale voluntary transfer from Newbury District Council, now known as West Berkshire Council. We currently own and manage approximately 14,000 high quality, affordable homes throughout the south west of England.
Sovereign Twynham
Sovereign Twynham, previously known as Twynham Housing Association Ltd joined Sovereign in April 2005.
We own and manage more than 4,000 high quality, affordable homes for rent and low-cost home ownership. This includes properties let under our private sector leasing scheme, where we lease properties from owners and landlords in the private sector and let them to homeless families and other people in housing need.
Sovereign Vale
Sovereign Vale, previously known as The Vale Housing Association joined Sovereign in April 2007.
We own and manage 6,500 high quality homes for low cost rent and home ownership. This equates to one in ten of all the homes in the Vale of White Horse, where we are also one of the ten largest businesses in the District.
Sovereign Kingfisher
Sovereign Kingfisher, previously known as Kingfisher HVHS Housing Association, joined Sovereign in July 2009.
We own and manage more than 7,000 homes across Hampshire, with the majority of our properties located in and around Basingstoke.
Sovereign are a charitable, Registered Social Landlord and any profit we make goes back into building new homes and improving our resident services.
