The way we work 

We are currently enjoying a successful time, despite a challenging environment. This is because we have been able to respond and adapt to changes in the housing market, in the funding environment and in the communities we serve.

Our financial strength enables us to withstand the extraordinary demands of the current environment and even to take advantage of it.

Over the last year we have developed almost 750 new homes at a significantly reduced cost to the business. Like others, we reviewed our programme of low cost home ownership properties, and our strategic and proactive approach has enabled us to secure a range of locally agreed solutions.

At the same time, we remain committed to improving services to residents. Our growth strategy is based on our existing geography, with a focus on areas where our homes are most widely dispersed, for example in Somerset and Devon.

Our stock rationalisation approach means that residents receive services locally and we develop more effective local partnerships.

By continuing to deliver a clear and focussed strategy, we plan to remain a leading housing group across southern England, providing homes and services for strong and sustainable communities.
